Cost of a PTA individual membership:

$ 5.00

We invite parents, guardian, grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors, anyone who has interest in advocacy for our children.

Business Memberships:

We encourage all Akron Business to support our schools and
our children. A business membership to your local PTA can
be obtain by contacting any Akron Public School.

Business have the opportunity to support their local PTA's in four ways:

25.00 business membership-recieve a membership card and thank you card for your support of a local PTA.

Business Membership:

50.00 Membership, you will receive a membership card, a thank you card and a sign for your business to show you support your local PTA.

75.00 Membership, you will receive a membership card, a thank you card and a framed sign for your business to show you support your local PTA.

100.00 (plus) Membership, you will receive a membership card, a special thank you card, a plaque to display in your business that your support the local PTA.

Why should I become a member?

A membership in PTA says that you believe in the work that National PTA, OHIO PTA and Akron Council of PTA's does for our children. You believe in purpose of PTA. Every Child, One Voice. To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community and a place of worship. Become a member and lend your name to the largest advocacy membership for children.

Contact any of Akron Public Schools, and become a member today. Either as individual or as a Business. Remember to be part of that village that helps raise a child.

Membership Awards:Ohio PTA Awards:

President Awards: Requires a minumum of 100 members to qualify.
Gold: Awarded to local PTA units with the largest increase in members by numbers.
Silver: Awarded to local PTA units with largest increase in membership by percentage.
Bronze: Awared to local PTA unit with the most creative membership Campaign
100 Club: Each local PTA membership by 100 members or 100%
Buckeye Award: Each local PTA unit whose total membership exceeds the previous years by 25% or more.
Scarlet Carnation Award: Each local PTA unit whose number exceeds the previous years by 10% or more.

District 13 Membership Awards:

Units: The unit from each council with the highest % increase over the last year.(100 min)
Unit Winner:The unit with the highest % increase over last year.
Elementary: The Elementary unit with the highest membership in total numbers.
Middle School: The Middle School with the highest membership in total numbers.
High School: The High School unit with the highest membership in total.
Council: The council with the largest % increase in membership over last year.

Akron Council of PTA's Awards:

Elementary unit with highest percentage of membership based on enrollment.
Middle School unit with highest percentage of membership based on enrollement
High School unit with the highest percentage of membership based on enrollement
Unit with highest increase in membership(minimum 100 members)
Unit with the highest increase in membership during our "Second 1/2 Campaign".
**all unit must be in good standing with Ohio PTA**

invites you be be creative with your membership drive. Think, plan and act on any wonderful or crazy idea that will help increase your membership numbers. Then send it your results with a decription of your Membership Drive.
You could win the "Bronze Award".
