Questions and Answers:

Q. If we say we are going to give a scholarship and then our fundraising doesn't go well and we can't,  Are we held liable for it?

A. No.  The intent form is so that Robyn has an idea of how many schools would like to try and give a scholarship and how many scholarships?  This helps her make the plans for scholarship night.

Q. What are quidelines?  Why do we need to do them?

A. Each PTA unit develops their own rules to giving their scholarship away.  This makes it your own scholarship.  YOU decide on how your money will help a student and what is important to your unit?

Example- do you only want to give to a college? or maybe a student going to a tradeschool?
do you want them to come from your school only?
do you want them to be part of your cluster schools
do you want them to have a certain GPA?
do you have a date that have to pick up the check by?
do you have requirements of enrollment before giving them the money?

All of these and more needs to be determined, so it will PROTECT your PTA from any confrontations or concerns.
